DC Herc is a lot closer to mythological Hercules/Heracles than his Marvel counterpart. The mythological version doesn't have a great history with the Amazons.

There's actually a great bit in the JLA/Avengers crossover where Diana attacks Marvel Hercules upon meeting him because she assumes the worse.

TBH my brain went to Marvel Herc cosplaying as Wonder Woman too.

The two companies' versions at least used to very strongly resemble one another, unlike their Thors, Odins, and Zeuses.

Which is to say, at first sight I assumed this was WWII era Wonder Woman making with the chin music on the Herakles that imprisoned and violated her mom.

Superman is listed as 1 of 6, but Batman has no limit announced.

Solicit is pretty mean to Sam Hamm - he wrote the movies, is credited as such, yet is announced as tying up loose ends left by Tim Burton!

Plus, one thing I've never liked about the whole "Emotional Spectrum" stuff (beyond how few of them are actually emotions) is that it makes so many of them so... one note as characters.

Back in the 1980's where they did a story where Superman visits a world of gender reversal (sort of) Wonder Warrior wore a very disappointing take on the outfit.



Though we did get their Superboy in shorts and puffy sleeves.

Absolutely love the concept of Batman: The World and excited to read it. Also was kind of startled that they made Wally West the main Flash of that book, but now deeply worried how much more of a mess they will make the Flash situation. Again, apparently impossible to see it would lead to this, Johns.

Future State continues to annoy me, though, as I'm liking a lot of the stuff in the Bat-Books, but since I don't generally like Future State, tying stuff in to that is making me nervous. And I continue to be baffled by DC's fixation on the Fox boys. Apparently the figured out that Luke Fox was dead in water, so they decide to create a Fox son and try again. Like why?
