So if I remember, the context here is that Hawkeye was meant to be dead at the time, which is why him showing up is a big end of issue reveal?

Was his return afterwards ever explained, or was it just one of those "Eh, Disassembled, House of M... we don't really feel bound by any consequences of those events that aren't currently convenient," things?

"Explained" would be generous, but it was I think implied that Wanda brought him back (into the main reality, after this one collapsed). There were at least emotional consequences: he was a long time recovering from the experience and putting himself back together.

it was only after this he developed his current personality I believe. Someone could do something with that

I also distinctly remember him crawling out from under a car that landed on him during one of Bendis' New Avengers issues, with no explanation of how he wasn't squished flat. Immonen drew it pretty purposefully so I assumed it was a plot point that would be touched on later, but it never was.

The striking thing to me is that this is just 16 years ago with a comic where a high-tech alternate reality has someone calling information from a pay phone.

Those who read this when it originally came out will remember that the final page reveal here was promoted as something that would "break the internet in half" by Marvel, and literally no one cared -- Hawkeye hadn't even been dead for a year.

So, in this glorious Mutant utopia, SHIELD is actually more suspicious than regular SHIELD, with tracking implants in its agents (or maybe just Wolverine) and routine tinkering with its agents memories.
Hmm.
... on the plus side, them some snazzy uniforms they got there.

Having done some checking, it's not. It's Lotus Shincheko.
Colleen was around in the past of the House of Mverse, but she isn't part of Luke's team here.
