Feel like they could have done more with this one. It's mostly just an adventure and doesn't really explore the "sidekicks find out their mentors are evil" hook.

Well, since there would no resolution to that short of the sidekicks all getting killed by the heroes (any other result interfering with the main book) I'm fine with that.

I assume one of the unscanned pages has Deadpool explaining it's just a tie-in issue and thus they can't affect the main plot.

It's odd seeing this Miles be utterly determined to be Nighthawk's sidekick when it was a big point of original Miles's origin that he didn't want to be a superhero until Peter bought it.
Alternate realities are a trip.

Yes, but if Green Goblin (Mistah G) is the Joker, that makes the bird-themed sidekick he killed Jason Todd, so Miles is playing the part of Tim (the deadliest bird) Drake. I'm not sure who that makes Dick, though.
