I am... conflicted over this as yet. (Apart from the "tied up" part, obviously)

Either John Grayson was unfaithful to Mary, which seems to fly in the face of everything we know about them.

Or this is an attempt at manipulation by Ms Zucco, using a rather tired and overused trope.

That first depends on whether she's older or younger than Dick I suppose, she might have been from an earlier relationship... or something.

Either way Tom Taylor has earned some leeway, so I'm prepared to see where this one goes.

Though I do have to wonder if the New 52 storyline with Dick working alongside Tony Zucco's daughter (another one?) who was a legit businesswoman and banker, will be referenced, or the story where Dick moved to Chicago and found Tony Zucco was working there in City Hall or something)

OR! She's a full sister to Dick who was taken and raised by Zucco, and their parents never mentioned it to anyone for mYsTeRiOuS rEaSoNs.

OR! A sister from an alternate Earth!

OR! She was brainwashed into thinking that she's Dick's sister!

I mean, in the DC Universe, there are probably a hundred bizarre explanations that seem totally reasonable.

Because in my vast and unmatched intellect, I read “daughter” and “crime family’ and mixed the two up in my head. The most I know about Bartinelli Huntress is from the Birds of Prey movie.

....I am having a real hard time seeing how this doesn't end either icky or making characters I like look bad for no reason.

I don't understand why writers insist on introducing new sibling characters instead of focusing on developing the ones we already have.

Dick has three brothers (and if you are looking for "uneasy alliance with a sibling you love but whose morals are wildly different than your own and is associated with criminals," Jason is right there), plus Stephanie and Cassandra (who are also the daughters of supervillains).

But instead we get yet another addition to the cast. And, much as I adore every single Batkid and want to keep them all, it's hard not to see the point of people who claim that the Batclan is getting too bloated.

It's the same thing with Spider-Man. Want to give Peter a sibling? Ben and Kain are right there! But no, we get a long-lost sister instead.

Agreed. The whole secret spy sister of Peter comes off like an idea from fanfiction.net.....and not from the top half of writers.
