The content feels very much at odds with the pitch: while some of these people clearly know each other, they're in three separate friend-groups with little overlap. And even within their friend-circles, they frankly seemed more motivated by getting to spend a week in this big-ass luxury house than by spending time with each other. They get along all right (so far) and they've at least got baseline decency when confronting the apocalypse (so far), but "old friends reconnecting?" I don't quite see it.
