I've never liked this art style. It's giving me flashbacks of "Sonic Live!"

I suppose it's done to try to make the lesson more impactful, but it's distractingly cringy. The lesson(of looking out for others) of the story is good, but the simplistic way its demonstrated makes it feel somewhat hollow.

Closest I've seen this style work is in Promethea, and that was a) supposed to look weird and off-putting, and b) it was an in-universe change that everyone could see and describe as weird and off-putting.

I'm hung up on what exactly Peter handed the kids. It's a single sheet of paper worth five hundred dollars, from an envelope marked RENT. It's clearly not cash, and it would be absurd for it to be a check, so... is it a money order?

It looks to me like there's more than one bill behind the green one in front, it's just not rendered with very much detail. Or any.

Insurance should cover most of the damage, kid. There's an entire in-universe industry for rebuilding/insuring against super-powered destruction.
His rent money is a bonus until that gets taken care of.
