In a page that's not shown, Clark (as Superman) deals with a traffic jam caused by an overturned truck carrying a load of chickens. He can't use superspeed to gather them up because "they'd die of fright", which maybe overestimates the chickens, but so it goes.

The bird let out a slow chicken cackle. It sounded like a chicken, but in her heart she knew it wasn't. In that instant, she completely understood the concept of a chicken that was not a chicken. This looked like a chicken, like most of the Mud People's chickens. But this was no chicken.

This was evil manifest.

Mildly off-topic, but ever since Geoff Johns employed the "all the other Toymen were fakes, MINE is the REAL Toyman" retcon, I've had to wonder if they shouldn't just have multiple Toymen around as the new status quo, so writers could use whatever Toyman they wanted, be it Silver Age or Grimdark.
