Robin #5 - "Reunion or Rumble?" The meeting a lot of us have been waiting for

As Damian finds his siblings on his tail, but one in particular

Damian has sneaked to the mainland to find some info about goigns on in with the League of Lazarus, and is surprised, though probably not very, to find Dick, Jason, Steph and Tim all there waiting for him.



Damian challenges all of them to a rooftop race, if they catch him, he'll come with them. And Damian shows that he is quite ruthless about such things, sniping at "Ric" (a low blow there), avoiding Tim and Steph, and including a take down for Jason which I wish I could include, but I need the page count for the IMPORTANT interaction, as Dick and Damian finally get to talk, in what is (AFAIK) the first time they've properly talked since the Dick was Ric and Damian had to deal with Alfred being murdered in front of him.

And Dick, of course, is the one to find Damian, and has a birthday present for his youngest brother



After all this time, Damian still thinks Dick doesn't trust him...



How many other people in the world, would Damian be this open with?





"..but you were MY Robin"

I swear, those two will be the death of me someday, but I can live with that

And so Damian returns to the League of Lazarus competition, and his siblings go back to tell Batman that Damian is safe, knows what he's doing, and trust him to do the right thing.

It's almost a shame "Raven" is already taken, because that would make a good name for Damian too.

He briefly used "Redbird" for a time too didn't he? In the Morrison run? That might work

There are all kinds of good bird names available. Also Drake.

I second returning Damian to being Dick's sidekick. They had an excellent dynamic when Dick was Batman, and Damian as Bruce's sidekick never worked half as well.

I'm not sure how I feel about Morrison's run at different points, but Dick as Batman with Damian as his Robin was easily the highlight for me. Scenes like this here? Really fantastic. Dick being the loving big brother is simply the best.

So, “Stephanie was Robin” is in continuity these days? I mean, I’m all for it, but I can never keep track. I take DC with a ‘bring your own continuity’ approach.
