Interesting statement considering the various actions taken in the X-titles I've seen shown here on Scans-daily recently. Very interesting indeed.

Yeah, even if it's coming second hand from a supervillain, it's interesting to see someone even allude to this in-text. The X-books have been coy with those ideas even as they've played with them, so it's nice to see a writer actually saying the thing.

Especially with said supervillain now retconned by the preceding Shang-Chi miniseries to have been an 'anti-colonial' fighter at the end of the Second Opium War in 1860, defeated when the British Army had the backing of a servant of Dormammu's ("Baron Harkness") who summoned Mindless Ones. (He also unsuccessfully fought in support of the Boxer Rebellion against the Eight-Nation Alliance in 1900.)

Does it just work with the flute, one wonders, or is it any kind of music? Is it just music she makes? If she tries singing and she's off-key, what happens then?

Like, I know he's not the absolute worst person to send. He's not liable to try and eat someone or drain the life out of them or whatever, but... hundreds of people on that island, yet they think Wolverine is the best choice? Really?

The resurrection list is backlogged and it's hard to kill Wolverine in case anything unexpected happens

Maybe Zhilan just needs any sound regardless of the quality. I was never under the impression it mattered too much to Dazzler or, more appropriately, Songbird.

It makes sense here. Shang Chi and Logan run in similar circles. The only other mutant I think he knows all that well is Domino and I'd be worried about her getting ... distracted after that Gail Simone mini.
Though normally you save Wolverine for those vital outcast teen girl recruitments and Sister Staff seems just a bit too old.
