Previously on The Last Annihilation: Dormammu's invading the universe by taking over Ego the Living Planet. He's having his Mindless Ones attack five separate planets, two of whom are Hala, the broken homeworld of the Kree, and Skrullos, the first homeworld of the Skrulls. So Billy goes to protect Skrullos, while Teddy stays behind to protect Hala. Unfortunately, in the process, Teddy finds the undead Supreme Intelligence, who is going to basically genocide the planet (again), while Billy gets caught by Dormammu before he can do anything to fix Teddy's broken space sword (the one he pulled from a stone to prove he was King of Space).

I was wondering where Phylla was during all this. It was nice to see her get a moment with Teddy. Even if it wasn't 'her' Teddy.

This was so good

Every single thing about this issue was perfect from the flashbacks to Teddy and Billy falling in love and their proposal to the scenes with them in the present day and the scene with Phylla and Teddy. I cannot think of a single thing about this comic that I didn't love

Glad they finally gave Teddy a connection to Mar-vell, but didn't the bands have to be struck together to switch?

I know it's a rabbit hole that should be avoided, but chronologically speaking...
Teddy was conceived around the time of the Kree-Skrull War, and Phyla was genetically cloned by wassername some years after Mar died.
Even with the fact some writers decided to throw in time travel to Teddy's origin to explain how he can be older than Franklin "The Ageless" Richards, and Phyla's growth was sped up (at least, for Regular Phyla)... wouldn't the more accurate term would be little big brother?


Also, any universe where Billy and Teddy weren't together probably deserved to be eaten by a tentacle monster.

I just burst into tears, over my breakfast, reading the Nega-Band swap moment. That prompted my wife to come check on me, look at the screen, and promptly burst into tears as well. What a wonderful, uplifting, loving moment of pure awesome.

Greatest couple in comics? They're certainly right up there. Love it.

That's just the artist's style and as far as we know, Genis-Vell wasn't queer.
