However, they are utterly fooled by the concept of a third dimension. D'oh!

On the larger subject of the issue itself, anyone else get the feeling that spending three pages showing Cypher's idyllic life with Bei, Warlock and Krakoa is just setting him up to be a casualty of, or at least traumatised by, this event?

Think the stuff with Doug and Warlock is hinting Doug (or Warlock) is Up To Something.
Since there was that whole thing about Warlock keeping himself hidden for whatever reason.
And that bit waaaaaaaaay back in HocusPocus where Doug touched a leaf and it suddenly started turning all tech-y.
And the massive retcons to how the Technarx and Phalanx work.

Well, Warlock's a technological intelligence, right? And Moira's policy is that all AI must die. Maybe Krakoa knows that and tipped Doug and Lock off?

Well the policy isn't against AI

It's against anti-mutant AI. They're fine with Vision or Jocasta existing. Just not any AI that was created for the purpose of threatening mutant lives

Which I'm fine with

I mean I think all anti-mutant people, artificial or otherwise in the Marvel universe should die

So my reaction to them wiping out all anti-mutant AI is "That's a good start"

Hordeculture are so far the best villains created during Krakoa era.
Although I'd love to see situation where Selene or even Logan calls them "young ladies".

They're such a fun silly idea for villains

I hated the idea of decrepit retirees showing up the X-Men in actual combat as a gag. But used like this, as villainous background players whose ecology expertise can be used against Krakoa? Mark me down as a fan.

I think that these are a couple scientists from the first issue of Hickman's X-Men, who had "devolved" themselves into apes to fight the mutants.

But I also like the uplifted animal origins much more so I'll go along with it y.y

And yet, these are the guys Krakoa can't figure out how to beat.
