Why Etta Candy is Awesome, or as it could just as easily be called, "Pretty much everything Etta does ever."

Honestly, the Holiday Girls seem like the far better choice.
Just in terms of helpfulness alone.

Yep. I have no idea why other writers have changed her to the point where all that's left is the original name when the original is such a fun character.

I'm pretty sure that every writer from Robert Kanigher on was embarrassed by Etta's original depiction, since soooo many of her subsequent storylines have either focused on her weight issues, or outright reinvented her (with most of them giving her a military background/role instead of the college girl aspect...)

The curse of being a Golden Age supporting character, I suppose. You either fall by the wayside completely, or writers struggle to make you relevant for modern sensibilities.

I'm confused, didn't we have a Wonder Woman special last year? I remember it had a story by Gail Simone featuring Sunflower and another one by Scott Snyder with Diana in World War II.
