Issue #1 has someone seeking him out: " My name's Deonte and I'm here for your help. Your advocacy. "
The Frontiersman heard him out.
He listened to comments on the current generation of superheroes, amazement at his own lifestyle, and finally a question: " How much do you know about Pacific redwoods? "
" They're big, old.. "

The Frontiersman's answer was a non-vituperative no.
After turning Deonte down, he helped the young man out of the forest that he'd ventured into.

The name got the Frontiersman to take Deonte back into town in his pickup.
On his own, the retired superhero sought out the professor, who'd previously been a colleague of his as the size-changing Unicell.
They got to talking.

" Of course.
" He had the power to get normal people worked up. Create mobs. "
The Frontiersman remembered one of his and Unicell's battles against Barhos - and the line that that hate-monger'd sneered after his defeat.

(The Frontiersman's the one in the flashback panel who looks like his name.
Unicell's somewhere else.)

She elaborated.

" They're treating you like you're still a superhero. "
The Frontiersman went home that night and thought about things.

The next morning, the Frontiersman made a call as he was going his way: " I wanted to thank you for the advice, Claire. "
" No sweat. Everybody needs a sounding board sometime. Helps to get your thoughts clear, y'know? "

(Pagecount's 7 and a bit more than a quarter of 22 from issue #1 - issue #2's next week.
Writing's Patrick Kindlon, art's Marco Ferrari, and letters're Jim Campbell.
