This is from Haunt of Fear #22.

Jason and Enid are a couple who are a couple in financial difficulty. Enid picks up a jade statue and recalls buying it in Hong Kong.



He warns her to be careful. She ends up wishing for more money. His lawyer then calls him and he goes to see him, thinking this will be the solution to their problems. Instead he gets in a car accident where he is killed and his corpse mangled. The insurance means that Enid will be rich. 

Horrified that her wish resulted in her husband's death, Enid wishes that Jason be restored to the way he was right before the accident. It turns out he died of a heart attack before being mangled in the car accident. Enid has one final wish.

This story was the basis of one of the vignettes in the 1972 British anthology horror film Tales from the Crypt! Jason was portrayed by Richard Greene, and Jason's wife Enid was portrayed by Barbara Murray; The Lawyer was portrayed by Roy Dotrice.

It was one of the ones that made me question the framing device... so he's being judged in hell for the crime of dying and coming back to life in eternal agony?

Wait, didn't she only use two wishes? Did she use a third in a skipped page?

(And this thing's more merciful than the Monkey's Paw, really. As long as you have more people to make into new owners you'd theoretically have infinite chances to unwish your wishes.)

First wish was for more money, which ended up in her husband’s death. Second wish to bring him back before he crashed. He’s still dead as he died from a heart attack. Third wish was to bring him back to life.
