I'd say that that's not "some other fella", even from that first panel that looks like Lieutenat Kevin Riley, who was in several early episode of TOS as a bridge officer and navigator, and was in many respects a proto-Chekov,

Kevin Riley was also in "Conscience of the King," with the coincidence that two Tarsus IV survivors (Riley and Kirk) were on the Enterprise 1701.

It's iconic character Faceless Jimmy. It's nice to see him, after his one appearance in the Animated Series.

Considering the premise of this comic, it'd be interesting if that turned out to be Gary Mitchell. The costume is not a perfect match (no weird turtleneck), but it is the right color.

And of course they confirm Treleane was a Q. I loved the Q-Squared book where Q is driven nuts by the punk and Picard loving Q get a dose of his own medicine.

At the very least, it confirms him being a Q-level entity, since the Organians and the Metrons are separate groups.

It's odd that Q regards him as a contemporary when he is by all accounts a child among his own kind.
