Deacon Frost unleashed the V-WAVE, turning humans into vampires, superhumans into humans and all sorts of other wackiness. Two years later, the world is a very different place.

So, what sort of role do you imagine Wilson Fisk, kingpin of crime, filling in a Blade-centric world? And do you want to see Blade swordfight Citizen V?

I have to admit, I am much more interested in the Darkhold event now that I know the central premise is "horror AU stories". The Iron Man story was a pitch perfect Halloween story.

I really don't know why these weren't just put out as 'What If's. That's what they are, and you'd think Marvel would be savvy enough to tie something into a title in another medium.

It was also just a Marvel version of a Cybermen story.

Though arguably better than most of the Cybermen stories that the BBC have put out since, oh, 2005. Hell, 1967, even.

I think you have that backwards. I'm sure Silver Sable is a vampire now.

The V-Wave reducing the world to " baseline humans and vampires " is honestly a bit lazy - there's nothing that inherently says " vampires couldn't compete if they had anything other than baseline humans to deal with ".

(A writer might have to do a bit more work to sell that in a one-shot, yes - but maybe genre writers should be expected to do a little more work as a matter of course if they expect people to pay money for said work?)

I wonder if it's just to evoke a throwback to a world of the Blade movies, where there was no shared universe of robots, aliens etc, (and in fact, the Tomb of Dracula series which as in the Marvel universe, but could sometimes pretend it wasn't) which I admit, has a bit of a quaint charm now.

I remember thinking when seeing the first Blade movie that if La Magra turned *everyone* into vampires as Frost claimed, they wouldn't be happy for very long since they'd quickly run out of food.

Why is Amadeus without his Gamma?

That it does, but those depowered are turned into humans, not vampires. Amadeus should be human.

I mean, I'm only working from the scans here, but Kurt says that half of the mutants on Krakoa became depowered humans, while half turned into vampires.

A depowered Kurt Wagner as Citizen V is actually a brilliant extrapolation of his character under certain circumstances... right down to being a native-born German playing at being a swashbuckling American patriotic hero.
