The main story was pretty meh, but tge scene with May and Otto made up for it. What could possibly go wrong?

Well even if he's on the level, removing the ratiation from Peter doesn't usually go well for Spider-Man.

I'm wondering if, during the examination process, Otto will be able to tell that Peter is Spider-Man. I would imagine the alterations to his genetic code as well as the trace radiation in his blood would be noticeable to an expert on radiation. An expert so noted in their field that Reed Richards turned to them for advice.

All that said though, the presence of radiation isn't the problem with Peter. If it was, he wouldn't be allowed visitors. He's suffering from the result of the exposure. If Otto can indeed help, curing the exposure shouldn't do anything to the "natural" radiation his body contains.

Yeah, it's gone. It's part of the reason he was interested in Kindred's offer. I don't know WHY he forgot. He says he doesn't remember anything prior to becoming...what was the name he was going with? Elliot Trolver? Something like that. So, for some reason, Spider-Man's identity was in the mix. Even though Mephisto explicitly stated that, if Otto accepted his deal, he would be freed of "Parker's taint".

Seriously though, Miles hasn't been in the 616 for very long but he seems to go with what he thinks is right over what he knows is legal... which is the same call Peter usually makes... because they're Spider-Man.

Kid Arachnid. Or Spin, if we go by the latest series. "Brown Recluse" isn't a bad handle though. Wonder if they'd have some kind of corrosive gimmick for the necrotic inducing venom brown recluses have. Something for breaking bindings or opening doors. Or, if they're a villain, to spray at people.

For the record, I knew it wasn’t actually Brown Recluse but (a) previous attempts to rebrand Miles are so forgettable that I could not remember any of the names (did any of them even make it to the comic page?) and (b) he’s one of the few Spiders where figurative or literal venom features prominently in his power set.

Plus I think DC might sue if he started calling himself “Black Spider”

IIRC the Black Widow stand-in for one of DC's "this looks suspiciously like Marvel" Earths uses that name too.

Its a good name especially once you realize the obvious spiders have been taken. Both companies have too many "Tarantulas".

"Black Panther" is just redundant. If a panther in Africa isn't black, its just a leopard.

PS: Don't Google Ghost Spiders. They are real and - while they aren't nearly as dangerous as the Brown Recluse - they look terrifying.

I love that they gave Black Spider a Spider-Man-like personality in Young Justice as well as his voice. And I'm not sure, but I don't think he had web balls in the comics.

So you've got the clone of Spider-Man fighting the clone of Kraven, and you don't do anything with that? You just have Kraven be vaguely against technology (despite being created by technology) and have Ben declare that he's his own Spider (while using Peter's name and a costume barely distinct from Peter's).

Ben is working for an eldritch abomination dressed like a corporation, and THIS is what we're getting?

Thank god for May and Otto, otherwise this would be a complete waste. Instead it's 90% waste.
