Glorious. Its like they had the concept of detective work described to them and they didn't quite grasp it. I want to see a "how to write smart characters" article by one of these people.

I suspect it would read a lot like the Witch Trial scene from Holy Grail.

Reminds me of when the Lasso of Truth was broken and truth became whatever people thought it was. Batman was the only one who could solve Riddler's riddles. Not even Riddler understood them. And Batman would fade in and out of existence because some people still thought he was an urban legend.

The annual does a lot to finally retcon the nonsense of Heroes in Crisis away as not being Wally's fault

I know, which is why I was terrified they were going down that route again here. Maybe they did on the pages not shown, but while I don’t have much attachment to Wally West I don’t want to see him become another Scarlet Witch or Hank Pym scenario.

Things I appreciate in this story:
The "DC proudly presents" like, "We know what this looks like and we stand by it."
The *range* of emotions Lex goes through in the panels where Wally speedslaps him. All the emotions.

It's the Riddler it can't be that much unless he had a fat inheritance he didn't waste all on constructing complex riddles in Gotham's sewer system, or an army of colour-coded robots.
