Issue #2's meeting'd been with Galaxie Prime, who'd been an enemy in the " enemy of the super-team the Frontiersman was part of " sense - and who'd parted ways without malice.
Issue #3's was with Trefoil, who was the Frontiersman's enemy on a more personal level - who, unlike Galaxie Prime, didn't seek the Frontiersman out on his own. He was aimed at him, rather - aimed by the loggers against whom the Frontiersman was participating in a sit-in.
He announced his arrival with an explosion he set off.

A drone, sent up from the media ringed below the tree in whose branches the Frontiersman was protesting, broadcast the hero and his enemy.

Audiences watched them brawl.

(You can easily see the " hero gone bad " part of Trefoil's history as two issues of a team book in the 80s.)

Trefoil's oration rolled on.

(If panels one and five there are making you think of Nuke, the Frank Miller/David Mazzucchelli-created super-soldier villain, the backmatter of this issue confirms that that character was an inspiration for this one.)

There's a " faux Who's Who " in the backmatter, like there was in the previous two - this one's about Trefoil.

(Pagecount from the main story's 7 out of 22.
Writing's Patrick Kindlon, art's Marco Ferrari, and letters're Jim Campbell.
