I have to say it's a side of her I'd not expected to see, but it is delightful to watch.

Her whole powerset is terrifying to me. I am not really sure how one deals with precogs, especially ones of her caliber. Having her deal with a son in law she hates but can't do anything about is great.

Really, really like the interactions between Irene and Remy. now if I was Rogue I'd be worried that her precognitive moms dislike of her husband stems from something he is going to do. Irene can probably see the whole trajectory of their relationship.

Rogue is peculiarly cold to Irene though. This is her mom, who just came back from the dead. Shes never seemed particularly bothered about Irene not being in the resurrection queue either. What gives?

I'd blame Mystique for that. The more Mystique backstabbed and betrayed, the less fondly Rogue probably looked back on her past.

Not to sound like a Facebook status but I think "It's Complicated" sums up Rogue's relationship with her moms given all that's happened over the years

More so when one of them can forsee every missed anniversary, forgotten birthday and night of dissapointing sex that the future relationship holds

I was so close to dropping this series, but it is the little moments like Irene and Remy bickering that keep me reading.

I think Duggan really excels at character stuff.

Even when I've been let down by how a story arc was resolved I have enjoyed the way he writes the characters in that story

How can she drink thought that mask? And what in the hell is that thing attacking her?

I wondered about that, but I think we see her putting her mask back on at the bottom of the second page/third scan.

Are you talking about the part where she's got her hands up to her face, talking about how "FLUID" the future is? I think she's just being dramatic. Like, "Oh no, my powers have totally failed me and I didn't just say it so you'd get hit" sort of dramatic. I'm looking pretty close at these pictures and I can't see any sign of the mask not being on her face. Maybe it isn't in the scan?

In addition to her face being shrouded in shadow in every panel before that scene (shades of when Xavier always had shadows over his eyes except when he was wearing that helmet earlier), the non-shadowed bits of her face are all white skin tone contrasted with the bright gold of the mask she puts on in the fluid panel.

The eyes look pretty shiny when in shadow. And her mask is nowhere else to be seen. I mean, where is she putting it when she's drinking? Why even put it back on in between drinks? She's clearly not done, even in the last panel.

The eyes (which the mask covers) may look shiny but the rest does not and, in fact, matches the skin color of the exposed diamond on her chest

I would love a mini about Mystique and Destiny trying to reconnect with Rogue and Nightcrawler, maybe Dazzler's around doing something unrelated and serves as big as a big obstacle due to her past with Mystique.

Tho I think Dazzler actually had a past with Rogue, not Mystique

Rogue resented her because she was popular and beloved despite being a mutant while Rogue's mutation made it so she could never get close to people because of her whole "Ah cain't touch yuh Remy!" situation

I didn't know that, that adds a cool element to the story. I was talking about Mystique putting Dazzler in a coma so she could farm Mutant Growth Hormone for months till they found her, was during the time-displaced OG X-Men storyline. It was Mystique's last big villainous act as far as I know.

Eh, Dazzler at the time was betraying her entire people and working for SHIELD so I'd say it was morally grey at worst
