That one'd taken time out of his violence in Arizona to take Levi under his wing.
He'd torn Levi's grown-from-cacti body apart - Levi awoke, human again, back in New York.
In the daytime, Levi talked with his friend Jennifer, who accepted without understanding what was going on with him.
" It's about me. " he said, thinking about the trip he'd taken to India on behalf of Prescot Industries, and what'd followed from his reunion with his family there.
" .. or you can choose to become something new. "
He carried that with him on his trip to Arizona that night, to the Pale Wanderer's further menacing of the sheriff from issue #1 (who'd come out into the desert to confront the Wanderer, having had three pages of self-actuation in this issue).
Levi continued ponderously, to his present.
The Wanderer clawed through Levi's substance.
(The deliberateness of Swamp Things is a consequence of the Green, evidently.)

" Becoming.. something new. "
