Wonder Woman: Agent of Peace is a collection of self-contained stories. Some are really good, some are... not, and most are somewhere in-between.

I'm personally fond of two stories in particular. One of them is about Diana's friendship with a mortal woman over the decades, and the other is about Steve's love for Diana. Sadly, the Steve one (which is my favourite) is a 6-pages story, and I don't know if it's even worth posting just two pages of it, but I can at least share the one about about the friend.

I generally have a very strong aversion to sad stories. But I'm very fond of this one, because the focus is on how their friendship made both their lives better, and how... normal Diana comes across here. She is a woman hanging around with her bestie like any of us would. This should be obvious, but I find that many writers struggle to characterise Diana that way.

Oh, that was lovely!

I like stories where ANY hero is seen as human but agreed that Diana gets fewer of those. The tone here reminds me of the Phil Jimenez story where she spends the day with Lois Lane and it's told from Lois' perspective, seeing Diana as author, diplomat, someone who eats like a horse, unloads very creative expletives about President Luthor, teaches abused women how to defend themselves and is a terrific pool player.

I also like the, I suspect deliberate, ambiguity of "helping with the riots" in France in terms of whose side they were on.

Is this a previously established character? "Socialite". That's a good name, really. You don't want them too descriptive. The more descriptive they are, the easier it is for the opposition to prepare for you. "Human Torch"? Bring extinguishers and flame retardant ropes and cages. Black Lightning? Insulated equipment. But what do you use against "Socialite"? Gaudy Christmas sweaters and fake gold hoop earrings?

This feels very much like a pre-Crisis story. That era focused more on Diana's connections with modern world than her mythical world, while post-Crisis stories did the opposite. Plus, until a very recent retcon Diana wasn't around in human world for that long. That said, I much prefer Diana as a mythological hero somewhat detatched from her mortal commrades.

I never got the idea Diana was less connected to mortals post crisis. There were just a lot of stories aboyt myth characters but they were pretty distant from Diana when it came to relationships while Diana's strongest relationships were with humans.

Very nice! Thanks for posting this.

This reminds me of the stories in the George Perez era when Diana's friendships with women (particularly normal, human women like Julia and Vanessa Kapatelis) were featured to explore her character.
