I think one of the earlier posts from the series had his parents saying they were leaving Gotham because they wanted to do what was best for their son, right?

I'm not a parent, don't plan on ever having kids, so this is just me spitballing here...

if you REALLY want to do what is best for your kid, maybe, just MAYBE don't be a henchman for a supervillain.
