I keep hearing about how western media is too prudish and unaccepting when it comes to sex and then I look at what the X-Men comics have gotten away with.

Then again, a lot of these accusations seem to be coming from people upset that not every female character has a double g chest and is running around in dental floss.

Yeah, when Sym turned her evil, her first act was to seduce him. He's been a bit stuck on her since then, while beyond Inferno she doesn't really reciprocate. She even made it explicit in the latest New Mutants arc that she's not interested in Alex.

But it's okay to ignore that for the sake of a joke.
