A young Clark tries to stop the uncomfortable stalemate between the USA and USSR worsens, and when Soviet nuclear subs are reported around US waters, Clark can’t sit back any longer. He miraculously Clark manages to stop the immediate outbreak of World War Three. A second space ship finds clark and it turn plays a hologram of Jol-el







A year or Two later Clark goes back off to Metropolis to get a job at the daily planet

"It's the ears"? You sure about that, Bruce? Not the symbol of a bat on your chest? Or the bat shaped objects you throw? Or the bat-wing like cape you wear? Just "the ears" cause people to refer to you as Batman?

Okay, so, there's the Dr. Strangelove war room reference with the Coast City Naval Base war-room, which given the period and how the room has become iconic in pop culture as a basis for "war room" makes sense.

But the bit with Clark and Pariah in a bar for some reason makes me think of the 1952 Invasion USA which was later on MST3K. I don't think it's a purposeful reference, but it does kind of remind me of scenes in that film.
