I loved the anime, so I decided to check out the manga it was based upon.

Hod can't be bothered to design animals Himself, so He outsources the job to the titular design team.

Neptune is a precious bean.

Part of the fun is trying to guess which real life animal the team end up designing, so I'm not going to spoil the result for you here. You will have to guess yourselves.

Yeah, Saturn's submissions are always horse related. He also keeps trying to make unicorns a thing.

It is some great satire for designers, and anyone who wants to know about how to make your biology in your fiction realistic (or at least challenges to overcome) should check it out.

(And honestly it has some great out-of-context meme material.)

I know. Who knew koalas were such nightmare creatures. Of course they were a Pluto design!

I think it's a tossupt between that and the running gag of Satan being the best client since hell doesen't have to work under all the constraints that earth has.

Of the manga is anything like the anime, it is a lot of fun. Quite informative too. I never knew koalas were so cursed!
