So " Kara is fractious around/with ' sidekick ' characters " is one of this series' things, maybe.

Looks more like she's still salty about Superman refusing to take any repsonsibility for her himself when she arrived on Earth and sending her to live by herself in the Midvale Orphanage, and refusing to let her be a hero in her own right ebcause she was his "secret weapon". Patronising does not being to describe their Silver Age relationship.

She and Robin have a bit of a running feud going on, more teeange-y spat than anything because each think the other was showing off.

She has a very touching conversation with Boy Thunder.

She was better off in the orphanage. Otherwise, creepy Superman would always be harassing her about how he'd totally marry her if Kryptonian law didn't forbid it.

Not a lot of them are "super villain" status. I mean, Two Face, Mr Zsasz, Penguin...they aren't quite "super" level.

Oh but they are, amongst other villains, not because of powers, but because they keep fighting Batman.

Given the villain of this story, it's perhaps ironic that the summary of that point came from The Key back in Gotham Knights #5

If it for this series at any rate. But then again Dick's Robin and Supergirl never worked together that I know of.
