So... is it just the WildCATs have moved to an alternate Earth, or all the Wildstorm lot?

You can tell with that list the bits where Mark Waid ran out of AUs and just went for "hey, remember this? Well, I DO!"

Amalgam is still part of DCU?

I'm guessing that further investigation will be really on the back burner.

It actually seems to be a recurring thing that Grifter tells people bullshit stories of alternate universes… that we as readers know are real alternate stories. Last issue he referenced the original Wildstorm Wildcats setup, and the DCeased AU.
No idea why.

Is Earth One specifically stylised as Earth I and not Earth 1?

they really missed the trick when they didn't name Earth 63 as the Reversed-gender variants of Earth-0 heroes and villains

Earth-11 was named that because 11+52=63.

Yeah, but then you'd also have Earth 34.

I know it was produced by a writer revealed to be a creep, but I really liked that realistic Wildstorm reboot from a few years ago, I hope that gets revisited in the multiverse.

It seemed cool at first, but the story was soooooo decompressed that I gave up halfway through. The character that they chose to have a spinoff from it was not the best to pick, IMO, given the many, many more interesting options available.

Deathblow (but not actually Deathblow) was an interesting sort of comic book concept, guy who was a corporate killer is dying and gets superpowers. Oh, and realises the secret megacorp are actually... *gasp* bad guys!
And then it turned into him fighting Evil Green Arrow, Evil Flash, Evil Aquaman, Evil Wonder Woman and Eviler Constantine.

There were mentions of a Zealot spin-off, which went nowhere, and the Wild C.A.Ts relaunch that suddenly never happened.

Oh, well.

'66 Joker: "What's going on behind us, Batman?"
'66 Batman: "Don't look, Joker. Whatever it is, we don't have the budget for it beyond a matte painting."

Meanwhile 789 Joker is giving off some heavy "We couldn't get the likeness rights for Jack Nicholson" energy.

Oh for fudge’s sake, *another one*? What’s the life expectancy of this one this time, half an issue? I suppose I should be grateful that it’s simple enough to understand.

Yeah, the Joker in 89 is actually giving me Mark Hamill vibes for some reason in terms of appearance.

Always kinda hate it when Batman Beyond is shunted to an alternate universe instead of the near-ish future.

Oh dear god. That means EVERYTHING. Not just the people. Buildings, objects...everything. Earth would probably be shaped differently...

But I think Earth 34 is the one where everyone and their grandmother knows magic to some degree.

Yes, far too much hair to be Nicholson. Has a very young Hamill vibe though.

It's easier that way. Far less "course correction" involved. Any event that happens in the present time would need to be reflected in the "near-ish future". By making it an alternate universe, they don't need to sweat those details.

It bugs me that the monkey earth has been labelled as 52, not 53. I know, pedantic of me, but there's already an Earth-52 established!

Unless Doomsday Clock has fallen into total and utter irrelevance and uncanonicity because DC continuity is a tire fire on a landslide.
