Four scans from Blackest Night #8.

Blah blah, heroes win, white light brings back a bunch of people, starting with most (if not all) of the guys who died during the event, such as the Hawks.  Then there's the big return everyone was expecting out of this:

Martian Manhunter's back, as is Firestorm (both of them; seemingly Ronnie and Jason are now the two halves of the Firestorm persona).  Next up:

And Deadman is alive now (he's pretty sure that's not supposed to happen).

They'll launch a new Aquaman series with an "A List" writer (Johns, Tomasi, Bedard) & artist (Reis, Manapul, Van Sciver) team, it'll be one of the better selling DC titles for a year or two, sales will slowly tail off after the big name writer and artist leave, and it will be canceled somewhere between issue 50 and 75. It's pretty much par for the course for characters like Aquaman, Hawkman, Green Arrow, Dr. Strange, Namor, Moon Knight and a few others. They're well-liked and have a pretty good sized following, but they're not quite popular enough to sustain a solo title for hundreds of issues.

I personally don't think all "A-List" characters NEED to sustain a title for hundreds of issues. Aquaman as a character is important to the DCU as a whole - is it really important that he has an ongoing at every moment to justify his existence? The same with characters like Hawkman and Captain Marvel. It sometimes seems that because they are A/B list characters DC thinks should sustain long ongoings they hesitate to use them elsewhere as mere supporting characters - with the result they hardly appear at all. Meanwhile a D-List character like Magog can be appearing in 3 books at one time.
