Just got my issue of Batgirl 13, was pretty good, gonna do a Casstoon of it in a bit.
But until then, here's something new I'm working on.
It's called 'Filtered Classics', and it consists of adapting old books, plays, myths etc. into a comic strip and hopefully coming up with something funny.
First Up, Oliver Twist!
Containing characters and parts of the story normally left out of adaptions because it makes it overcomplicated...

Note: the colouring of the next sections'll be more consistent, only worked out how to do it midway through this. XP

Oh Dickens, you and your physiognomy...

Also, may I just say that your art style has improved immensely since I've been reading the strip. Good stuff.

Date: 2010-08-27 08:31 am (UTC)I have to say though, that everything in th strip is referenced to some degree in the actual book, but in things like the musical characters like Oliver's half-brother are normally left out for some reason.
Probably because the implication that Edwin cheated on his wife (they were actually seperated, not divorced and he only married her because their families had arranged it) wouldn't have gone so well in the musical.

Keep up the good work. :)
