Date: 2011-01-14 12:36 am (UTC)And the comic is definitely accessible to non-fans; there isn't any really major in-jokes from the cartoon in it, and while it helps to know the characters, you pick up their attitudes pretty quick.

Date: 2011-01-14 02:03 am (UTC)One thing you will miss having not seen the show, is the epic voice-acting of Jim Cummings. Nothing beats having that Negaduck voice in the back of my mind as I read. Sex, drugs, chocolate? Nothing.

Date: 2011-01-14 12:26 pm (UTC)But really, I hear ALL of their voices (DW, Gosalyn, Launchpad, even Magica!) when I read this comic, as if it's an actual episode. The jokes, the commentary...it's uncanny.
These guys did what the fans wanted them to do. They got it right.
