From today's Spinnerette, an origin story to strike terror into the hearts of men:

Objectivist lit, the real-life Anti-Life Equation? Well, probably not that bad. Still, scary scary!

Well, it's a motivation I can certainly sympathise with. Few and far between are the books I don't finish after starting, but "Atlas Shrugged" is one of names on that list, and one I feel no shame about having not completed.

Perhaps I'm being a bit self-indulgent here, but I prefer Doctor Developer's reasons:

1. Super-villains get to build robots.

2. Super-villains get to trap super-heroes.

3. Super-villains get to have cute, blond patriotic heroes as their nemeses.

There's no other job in the world with those perks built into the description.

...those are some very large breasts.

Cute joke, but I prefer the "for funsies" explanation for supervilliany.

I tried reading the series after seeing scans here, but the webcomic just had too much... faux-manga softcore fanservice for me to take seriously. :( Which is sad, because it appears it has its clever moments, but the writing is rather weak, at least in the beginning.

Gravity control, which allows her to stand up, yes.

:)

Sounds like the author read this. (http://www.salon.com/life/feature/2011/04/04/my_father_the_objectivist/index.html)
