Rachel didn't leave her friends when they needed her most. Wolverine stabbed her to prove that killing Selene was bad. Or something. This is Kitty's nightmare, so it's understandable that she wouldn't know that.
Oh, God. Rachel is in London! Get out while you still can!
I really, really love Claremont and Davis’s Excalibur. It was a really nice, lighthearted break from what was going on in the mainstream X-Books at the time.
And I like that it kind of positioned the mutant hatred as something of an American phenomena. Excalibur at least was positioned as well loved heroes.
I also notice Meggan being called a mutant here. I’m pretty sure that was eventually retconned to actually be one of the Fair Folk?
This was also my first introduction to the Technet, who artist/blogger waitngforthetrade once referred to as “Fetishes, the Team”. And they’re not exactly wrong.

This was something that rang kind of true with me as a young reader, but I admit, today it would probably be that other countries went easier on mutants because they were rarer and kept them competitive with the U.S.'s influx of superhumans. And the The Guardian would have a column on why Nightcrawler's existence was somehow misogynistic.

Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
