Issue #9'd ended on the entrance of Joaquín Torres, the Falcon - Sam Wilson's partner, poisoned with something by an enemy, something that'd emphasized the " vampire " in his human/bird/vampire physiology.
Joaquín, tortured by his transformation and embittered by Sam evidently abandoning him to that agony, faced Sam and the reintroduced Ian Rogers in Mohannda. Sam and Ian, who'd been battling the forces of the White Wolf, now faced the Falcon.

Elsewhere, the White Wolf rhapsodized his satisfaction.

(Given that issue #9 had the White Wolf in a lit-by-natural-light room with multiple subordinates, the lower half of this page seems like time-saving.)

(Joaquín's healing is vampiric. Ian's is the work of Arnim Zola, who fathered him.)

Sam brought Joaquín down.

His fist tightened.

That was February 2023's issue #10.
March 2023's issue #11 has Sam fighting the White Wolf, one-on-one: " Stand down, Nomad. He's mine. "
The White Wolf employed trickery and skill, landing hits on Sam - and taking hits himself.

Sam went on with descriptors, winding up with " And you will never win. "

The White Wolf went on to make his motivation in this Cap book explicit:

(This is why he's working to recreate Mohannda as an apartheid state.)

(This is the mystery of the White Wolf's motivation in this book - " Why did he attempt to do bioterrorism in Wakanda, why is he turning his birthland into an apartheid state, and why is he targeting Sam Wilson? "
The " Wakandan patriot " element of his character went sour - he's wallowing in that sourness, and sees Sam's existence as Captain America as an affront to that.)
What follows is the White Wolf's defeat, a better direction for Mohannda, statements on Sam's character relationships (Sam and the still-alive Joaquín, Sam and Misty Knight, Sam and Ian)..
.. and a lead-in to " Cold War ", the upcoming story that'll be ping-ponging between this and Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty.
(Pagecount's 6 of 20 from issue #10 and 4 of 20 from issue #11, out the week of March 15th.
Writing's Tochi Onyebuchi.
Art's R.B. Silva, letters're Joe Caramagna, and colors're Jesus Aburtov.
Publisher's Marvel.)

Date: 2023-03-16 06:18 am (UTC)Batman, Wonder Woman (or Girl), Flash (or Kid Flash), Green Lantern, Superman, Spider-Man, Captain America - it's becoming harder to find a big name that's NOT being shared across multiple holders in title or spirit (i.e. Captain Marvel and Ms Marvel). The only real holdouts are ones where it wouldn't make sense so much to have a legacy or second character due to something inherent in the character's premise or status in a team-- X-Men, Fantastic Four, Legion of Super-Heroes (99% of the time), most of the Titans...
And of course now Cap will let just anyone with the right attitude be part of his club.
