I'm a Wolf, But My Boss is a Sheep

Oogami the wolf goes for a meal with some sheep co-workers. What could possibly go wrong?

I have questions. As if sheep eating mutton wasn’t horrific enough, do these sheep have a death wish? Purposefully antagonising a wolf so he would freak out and get fired? In a previous chapter, they intentionally crowded around him in the elevator. I’m pretty sure that constitute as a hate crime. Mitsuji (the titular sheep boss) even calls them out on their foolhardy behaviour, but still they continue.

Oogami is the only wolf in a department full of sheep. Was he a diversity hire? I thought this was supposed to be a cute story about an office romance between a wolf and his cute boss, who just happens to be a sheep.

Oh that's nothing. Turns out herbivores won't say no to convenient protein if they don't actually have to hunt for it. There are really really disturbing stories of cows and deer eating trapped birds or even barn kittens.

Or rabbits. But they usually draw the line with eating their own species.

That is until cows learn how to operate a gas grill.

We had a horse who made us move our grill location off the cement patio next to the pasture fence. She would reach over and snatch the meat right off the grill. (We weren't so much bothered by her stealing the meat as we were by the fact that she was burning her mouth pretty badly doing it.) Interestingly, she only wanted the meat when it was cooked. Guess she liked the scent!

I’ve been enjoying this one so far. The world building doesn’t make 100% sense, but I’ve become a sucker for these kind of will they-won’t they romance manga.
