"Obviously, Kyle Starks isn’t calling his shots at DC Comics, but the Peacemaker character is in sync with the type of characters I’ve written in my career — big, dumb action hero guys who have a lot going on, a lot of subtext and themes that are underlying.

So, I love the show. It’s one of my favorite shows I’ve seen in a long time. I never would have thought about actually writing it, but someone Tweeted, ‘Hey DC, why aren’t you making a Peacemaker comic, and why isn’t Kyle Starks writing it?’ So I retweeted it, and then they reached out to me.

I never would have thought about being like, ‘Hey, I’d like to write this,’ but as soon as I saw that tweet, I couldn’t think of a superhero book that I’d be more suited for." -- Kyle Starks

I was assuming this wasn't in strict continuity... because otherwise, I have so many questions about Rick Raleigh surviving to this day and looking so good for a Golden Age hero.

I mean... they can't ALL be well-preserved when they're pushing 100, right?
And not everyone gets the benefit of being lost in time and rescued, or what-have-you.

Honestly, finding out this is by Kyle Starks puts it wayyy higher on my radar. Not a giant fan of Peacemaker, never have been, but Starks and his writing style(s) fascinates me.

I loved this issue so much its one of the most fun DC books I've read so far this year!

Starks writing on Peacemaker is so on point I can literally hear John Cena's voice as I read this
