As noted in the preview page, things are not going well...
Tensions caused by knowledge of the Sinister timeline have caused Krakoa's standing, such as it ever was, to plummet in the world. There's now distrust of the Krakoan healing flowers, meaning that they have nothing to trade
The petty, and not so petty, infighting erupts into outright combat between certain members, as the various powerplays by vested interests jostle: Selene (being malevoently chaotic), Shaw (just being Shaw is enough), Exodus, Storm, Emma trying to recover some of the standing that Krakoa had in the world, Destiny being lost without awareness of timelines since the Sinister event and so no...
And throughout it all, Doug and Krakoa watch and listen.
During a brief recess, Doug then has a chat with a troubled Xavier (And I do wish I had room for that page) which leads to Doug letting Charles read his mind, in the form of a prepared memo...

Charles doesn't take it particularly well, but after some off panel discussions, Charles has a propostion for the Quiet Council, which others' support. It's up to Kate to articulate it first

So, of course, as soon as it's agreed and Doug takes a sigh of relief, it all goes weird. Krakoa immediately pulls Doug into itself to protect him, so far away that Hope can't even synch with Doug's power to ask Krakoa what he's protecting him FROM!
Destiny has a bad feeling that they've all just made a mistake and it's Emma who asks, in true Emma fashion" Just the one?"
A lot of interesting stuff here (and I did NOT enjoy the editing process, because there are a lot of excellent points raised so I'd recommend getting a copy of this issue). It's nice to see Doug (whilst acknowleding his own failures) point out to the QC what problems they've caused for the population who aren't X-Men, just mutants.
I do wonder where this will take us, but we've needed a major shake up in the Krakoan administration, and this looks to be it.
