Kara mental health is at an all time low, and has been for quite some time. That she is playing with survivor guilt. Which comes due with her constant feeling of failure and inability to remember what her life was like on Krypton.

For all the effort to differentiate Power Girl from Supergirl of late, it sure was weird to do a story where Supergirl has the same anxious outsider feelings that Power Girl's been getting in her last nine stories, while Power Girl was suddenly promoted to the cool, capable member of the Super-family who "belongs."

Mariko Tamaki's indie work is great. But with her Big Two work...sometimes I get really curious about what notes she's working from.

I hope Kara go to Superhero counseling to at least change things up as she attempts to live her life. Probably since the original 00s relaunch title. It had her finding herself, trying out different teams, getting her friend group of other DC heroes. Let Kara be happy for once and get her own supporting cast. Maybe let her be bffs with Cassie again.

Not sure how well "Horse that is actually an immortal centaur and sometimes a human who is in love with Supergirl" would play in the modern era.

Supergirl gave streaky to Powergirl. Because Streaky seem to bond better with Paige then Kara.

It was a different cat from a previous continuity that probably has been retcon.

I mean, in all fairness to the ignorant civilian, mistaking PG for Supergirl and vice-versa isn't exactly the greatest stretch.
Especially not when they're wearing similar jackets.
Just sayin'.

And it is a DC civilian (whose life was in danger, admittedly).
Say what you must about Marvel civs, but at least they can tell the difference between Spider-Man and Iron Fist.

Hey now, Supergirl and Power Girl have totally different body types.

No wait. They *used to* have different body types. Now you have to tell them apart by boob window and hairlength.

On one hand, the thought of them being near-identical because they're basically the same person from two different dimensions, has some interesting underpinnings which could make for good storytelling.

On the other, this is 2023 and parallel universe doppelgangers hanging out has completely been done to death for decades now, and so you're left with two near-identical blonde Kryptonians co-existing and stepping all over each other's niche as Superman's cousin.

In the past, they either existed on two different worlds (pre-Crisis) or only one at a time (post-Crisis) or they just never really overlapped despite their similarities so it didn't matter. Now that DC is like ALL SUPERPEOPLE MUST LIVE IN METROPOLIS, YES EVEN THE CHINESE ONE and there's this very visible attempt to find ways to tell Supergirl from Power Girl, Kon-El from Jon, and so forth.

I still maintain that at this point, when PG loses the boob window, she's no longer Power Girl at all, since of all her traits, that's the most dominant one left. (I know they've gotten rid of it before, but never when we were at risk of confusing her with Supergirl. Oh, and of course it doesn't help that now PG wears the Superman... er, House of El "S" crest like the rest of them. At least in the past, her refusal to claim his logo was another deafferenting trait.

Yes, I miss when Power Girl was jacked and visibly taller than Supergirl. She used to look like she could severely injure people WITHOUT her powers.
