Katana mentions having a naming ceremony in her narration in a recent issue, so presumably they started nameless and earned a name for their coming of age? I guess that since his parents didn't have names Gnash was taught that they didn't?

Come to think of it, didn't the European gargoyles also have names, including Lexington's boyfriend?

they did. But we don't know when they swtiched from nameless to named and I think I heard Weisman say that the Guatamalan Clan only gave names to the four with the magic gems and they just took the names of their gems
