Mod Post: Season's Greetings to all!

On every world, wherever people are, in the deepest part of the winter, at the exact mid-point, everybody stops and turns and hugs, as if to say, well done. Well done, everyone. We're halfway out of the dark. Back on Earth, we called this Christmas, or the Winter Solstice. On this world, the first settlers called it the Crystal Feast.

Scans_daily does not ascribe to a singular festive tradition, as we have many community members who ascribe to different traditions, and many who actively reject any, for many and varied reasons, and we wish to be respectful to all. However, for the Northern Hemisphere "Halfway Out of the Dark" is more of a fixed event than most, so if we have to go with a name, let's go with that.

For some it can be a happy time of family get togethers, and for others it can be a time of excruciatingly difficult family get togethers, and for others still, it is a be time of loneliness and sadness.

But rest assured you are never alone, there are always people you can speak to if you need to, and remember that asking for help is never a sign of weakness, it is a sign of strength and determination.

And we'll still be here, sharing scans and community, as best we know how, any time you need us.

I share this, a commission for the community from an old favourite artist, The Black Cat, whose Batman and Sons series remains a highpoint of fanart takes on the Batfamily (IMHO at least, just check back via the tag if you're unfamiliar with their work), as even the usually... fractious relationship between Tim and Terry is put on hold.

So, on behalf of the Mod Team, I would like to wish you all the compliments of the season and as peaceful and relaxing time as you could wish for, we have no doubt you've earned it.
