The Living Gotham had set its human weapon on him at the end of issue #3.
The two of them fought within the trap set by the incarnate aggregate of Gotham's systems, shining blade against fading man.
Terry managed to keep his end of the fight up with what he'd learned from Bruce.

' .. you surprise them with the truth. '
He swung out and away.

The Sword came on - Terry ' [fought] smart.
' It's not enough. '
Gotham's weapon struck the Bat down to the ground, and then struck another blow.

(The Sword's long locks are indeed part of the outfit.)

(" How many " refers to an interval during #2 where Terry was being harried by the Sword in his efforts against the Living Gotham. The count is at least 2, including the Sword Terry faced in #1.
" Feen " is probably caffeine.)
Terry went to seek help - to the apartment of Gotham cop Beam Boonma from #3.

The Living Gotham made another Sword of Beam.

(This is the Future's End Batman Beyond continuity, where Brother Eye and its ability to technologically assimilate people existed. The Living Gotham's capacity to turn people into its Swords is probably an intentional echo of that.)

' I stay standing. '

(The taser's effectiveness being demonstrated with the Sword's word balloon bubble border being interrupted by Beam's is clever. The execution's a bit vague, though - the way her word balloon trail is, you have to briefly work out who's screaming there.)
The Sword threw Terry away.
He ran, pursued - thinking about being only " Batman " to his enemies, as he rigged up the taser.
' .. I need to be something else. And in this moment, I am. '

Terry struck a taser-backed blow that dispelled the Sword - and sent Beam out that window behind them.
He followed, managing to break her fall with his suited body.

He took her to what was left of Wayne Manor (after the start of all this).

(Pagecount's 7 and a little more than 1/10th of 22 from Batman Beyond: Neo-Year #4 back in July 2022.
Writing's Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing. Art's Max Dunbar, colors're Romulo Fajardo Jr., and letters're Aditya Bidikar.
Publisher's DC.)
