I’m not super fond of some of the overt violence against humans in this series, but it’s nailing Prime’s characterization. There’s a moment not shown here where Prime turns into his truck mode solely to make a kid happy that’s just about perfect.

And all the acting with the eyes! Poor, innocent Optimus surrounded by a terrible world. Only to bust out some crazy wrestling moves at a mment's notice.

Oh yeah. The tiredness in the "just like us" panels there is palpable.

I really dislike that empowering one hospital drains the Matrix

It sounds less like it drained the Matrix, and more like using the Matrix drained what Prime had left.

They're in a weakened state. At full strength, it probably wouldn't have taken such a toll.
