This issue has no Squire or Noreen, so boo in someways. On the other hand, your favourite character not showing up in this series can sometimes be seen as a blessing! For example, Countess Robot X does appear, and so does The Will...

The return of a character we haven't seen in a good while. This had better not be a lead up to them getting killed. It better not, you hear me, BKV?!?

These annual 'mini-series' are starting to have a pattern, with the family popping to a new place each time, and I'm starting to think that the novelty of a regular cast and location switch is hiding the fact that the actual story is moving at a crawl...

It's an ongoing. Like most my creator owned work, I consider it a novel. I've an amount of story in mind, and we'll see how long it is. There's a potential that I'll decide to go a shorter length, but it has the potential to be somewhere between Die and WicDiv...Most don't clock WicDiv as a superhero book, despite the DNA...It's not a “if superheroes were real” book – it's a book about what if 6 people had an unimaginable level of power. One of the shorthands I'm using is “Watchmen, if there were 6 Dr Manhattans” - but the thing there is “how on earth do six world-ending people come to terms with one another?

Yes, Starscream in this continuity is utterly deplorable. How about his seeker-bros, Thundercracker and Skywarp?

So back in the third season of the original Transformers cartoon, there was a recurring minor antagonist, known only by his species name, the Skuxxoid. He was a mercenary, working for the Quintessons or the Decepticons. And he would usually only claim he'd taken the job because he had "a wife and kids"

He's shown up previously in Void Rivals, part of Skybound's ";Energon Universe", which encompasses the Transformers, GI Joe, and some space stuff, hindering the main characters, trying to deal with the Quintessons, etc. And in the latest issue, he returns home.

"Laughter to begin with was probably glee at the misfortunes of others. The baring of the teeth in laughter hints at its savage ancestry. Animals have no malice, hence also no laughter. They never savor the sudden glory of Schadenfreude. It was its infectious quality that made of laughter a medium of mutuality."
-Eric Hoffer

Well, the currentTransformers title sets out pretty early its stance on that whole 'female Transformers' thing! Shame that they also chose FIRRIB as their hill to die on! ;P

And damn, maybe it is just something as simple as speed lines, but the art continues to blow me away.
