I find it hilarious that brain overwriting Peter just is hard to do now because he has so much experience with people trying it.

Bit baffled as to why Peter thinks Ock would want to be him. Or, indeed, why he thinks anyone would want to be Peter Parker.
Being Spider-Man? Sure, yeah. But being this specific version of Peter Parker?

Not 100% on Peter being quite so forgiving of Ock trying to hijack his body again, but the fact he says Ock helping is part of the penance does ameliorate it.

It's 616 Peter. During the last Spider-Verse arc he was briefly removed from the Web of Life and Destiny which rewrote his history where he was never bitten by the spider and didn't become Spider-Man.

Marvel really doesn't let Peter get angry anymore, do they?

Did anyone else just realize how many contrary memories Peter has floating around his skull? He remembers being Doctor Peter Parker, as well as his life in the House of M reality and some (if not all) of Otto Octavius' memories from the mid-swap. Not to mention any possible memories altered by Doctor Strange's spell to make everyone forget his identity (don't know if that altered Peter's history, but I imagined it created a separate history of sorts). Do you think Peter ever gets confused? I hope Peter never develops dementia. It's honestly kind of a miracle Peter's brain isn't soup by now.
