I could never keep track - is there a difference between Guardian and Vindicator? Have both James and Heather used both codenames? Are they different suits or roles or something?

Also, the "The way to use the element of surprise is to blast through the ceiling where they're not then casually walk into the store they're in" is hilarious. Doubly so that's followed by "do nothing, get my ass handed to me instantly, fly back out through ceiling hole".

Mac started off as Vindicator, felt bad about the way his first showing as a hero went against the X-Men, changed his name to Guardian.
Heather started off as Vindicator when she finally assumed a superpowered role, and eventually became Guardian.
Yeah, there’s no real good reason, and during the rare times both were active and alive at the same time they were either using both names, or interchangeably Guardian or…

Because forcing the the guy with knives in his hands, a bad attitude, and a berserker to abandon his friends and work for you is going to work out so well even if you succeed and don't just make an enemy of a powerful super group (who would likely stop at nothing to get him back if you did).

Like, best case scenario, you bring him back and he escapes the second you leave the screen door open. The worst case version he does it and you all have several bloody holes in you.

(There's a What If that suggests they actually needed Wolverine for a specific mission involving the Negative Zone, but that's obviously not in continuity or applicable).

Coming back from Japan, but Alpha Flight whips up a massive (and we mean massive) snowstorm to lure the X-Men to an airport where they can capture Wolverine.

This does result in a massive out of control snowstorm, but hey.

She scrapped with Thor a little bit in Immortal Thor, where I think the takeaway was that he *might* be able to out-thunder her but doesn't have nearly her range. Then they teamed up to fight Utgard-Thor.
