Norman's eyebrows look like they're about to fly off his face and bite someone in the neck.

This whole "hero runs out on a date to be a hero and save her, but then looks like a chump who ditched her" trope is beyond tired.

How long have we been getting this from comics in general and Spider-Man in particular? Christ on a bike!

I don't know why Peter is dating Shay.
I don't know why Peter is having weird dating life shenanigans involving dates he never made to places he never knew existed.
I don't know what Wells is doing.
But I do hope there's something new and interesting coming out of this and we don't get Shay as yet another short-term ex-girlfriend who falls into obscurity immediately.
Maybe it's time for Peter to just be upfront: "Okay I didn't abandon you, I just do better fighting animatronics in my red and blue leotard. It's a me thing."

He could have at least come with a better excuse: "I got dragged off by Charles Entertainment Cheese but Spider-Man showed up and stuffed me in a ventilation duct for my own safety."

There are much better ways to relay the message than possessing animatronics and having them violently destroy the environment around them people while saying “TARGET IDENTIFIED, ENGAGE TARGET”. If whoever did this had time to set up a phoney website, they also had the time to write an email or deliver a letter.

Did anyone else mistake the lady here for Anna Maria?

Norman's expression in that last panel could mean a lot of things but what I'm interpreting it as is that he's happy Peter's date with a girl was ruined.

Norman gave in to his evil Green goblin side? I was hoping he stay an ally to Peter for a little while longer. How disappointing.

Norman’s struggle for redemption and the question of if that’s even possible has been a high point of this run. And maybe it’s just because I recently replayed the Insomniac Spider-Man games, where Norman is both corrupt but clearly loves Harry and is genuinely fond of Peter, but his reversion to evil is definitely going to hurt.

Why must Peter be an idiot in his series? He's been Spiderman since highschool, he has the largest rogue's gallery of any Marvel hero, he should be better than this. Whenever Spiderman makes a cameo he's jokey but he's still an experienced professional. I look at this moron and think of how Chip Zdarsky wrote him in Daredevil and I feel sad.

I could probably post this on every modern Spider-Man post, but... what's the point of having Miles Morales (and X other 'spidersonas') doing Young Spider-Man stories in the same exact universe and time period where Peter Parker is... also doing Young Spider-Man stories?

ETA: Like, I think people want to see Peter serving as a mentor to the younger Spiders, but what could this ninny have to teach any of them? He has his own duplicitous mentor! Could you imagine Iron Man or Captain America needing someone else to check their work like Peter is relying on Norman?
