It is rare that we get heroes who are genuinely nice and polite and don't start the hero vs hero trope.

And Quasar seriously was the Nicest Hero Around, at least for a while. It was refreshing. Sure, he has HUGE Golden Retriever vibes (i.e. seriously smart, seriously friendly, really needs instructions or a clear job to do), but who doesn't occasionally want that in a hero when so many are punch first.

It was definitely a Unique Selling Point for the title in the early 90's for me.

I do like the various low level threats who provide a workout for a new hero to showcase their powers and approach without much in the way of baggage. Plausible threats, but not particualrly sadistic or the like so relatively low threat.

Let's hear it for the jobbing villains, like the Absorbing Man, the Wrecking Crew, the Female Furies etc...
