I've been really impressed with Spurrier's cosmic-horror take on the Flash. And for me, at least, the love and hope and sheer emotion here just leaps off the page. It's hard to earn moments like that in a story.
Agreed. Oh, sure, people will tell me that it's because I watched the Justice League cartoon...and that he was literally the only Flash I knew about until waaaay later... But Wally is just the better man. I mean, the Rogues were going to retire during Final Crisis, but once they heard Barry was coming back, they changed their minds simply because the old Flash never cut them any breaks. Wally was the nice one. He was nice, but not a pushover. Unlike Barry, he was able to make an enemy or two into a friend. Pied Piper being the best example. Even when the Top re-arranged his brain, Wally was able to bring him back to his sense.
Besides, everyone knows that Wally is the fastest man alive.
