Skipping ahead an issue to the culmination of the Kublai Khan storyline.
And also, Aaron discovers alcohol.
Warning for seventies sexism at work.
Coming to you from the pens of Marv Wolfman and Steve Ditko.

The issue begins with Machine Man fighting off some of Khan's goons as the criminal mastermind seeks to test his abilities. It seems he has plans for our mechanical hero. As a friendly reminder, Kublain Khan is a super rich kingpin, claiming to be descended from the original of that name, who has previously spent his time trying to bring a mountain down on Aaron's head while floating around the city in his giant airship headquarters, which is names Xanadu. You can't fault his commitment to the bit.
Elsewhere, Aaron continues his attempts to fit in with his human colleagues, who, frankly, continue to be the %*#$ing worst.

Aaron heads off after Khan and, long story short, after battling a bunch of minions in his weakened state (clealy he can only handle robot beer) is taken out by Khan's sidekick Tong, who proudly boasts he cannot feel pain. (Only the emotional kind, presumably).
As revealed earlier, it seems the ailing Khan wants Aaron's robot body (and not in a fun way).

SPOILER: No he won't.
Aaron continues to be a jerk in victory and, rather than taking the villain in to face justice, leaves him to die on an exploding blimp.
Next time, skipping ahead again to new allies and new enemies.
