There sure seems to be a lot of Kang stories going on in my posts. I have just finished The Crossing. Then there is whatever is going on in that “Nebula” subplot in my Avengers read through. Thankfully, this plot is more straightforward as Kang unleashes a giant robot upon Thor.

The robot starts to run amok.

Kang lets the robot go, only for Thor to finally step in.

So like, is this Kang dead? Or is he just something something...

I think this defeat was addressed in Avengers Forever. A divergent timeline is created where Kang ends up in Limbo and discovers the lair of Immortus. So no, Kang is only presumed dead.

... Thor's being unusually sharp in this one.
(It's just a little unusual when most days he's just sort of average. Not dumb by any means, but not quite so capable of incredible deductive leaps as he is here, even when Kirby Asgard is a super-science wonderland.)
